Honoring Those Wrongly Killed
Men, women, and children who were lynched were typically treated as Others in the White press of the time – given the wrong names, denied humanizing details of their lives, treated as strangers and criminals though most often they were not. Our purpose is to treat Harris County’s lynching victims with the care and respect they were long denied. We welcome any further information anyone might have about these lives.
